spring tulips

This small time lapse does not show the entire process of the tulip opening, but was certainly a learning process for me, plus there is a story about those 4 tulips. During the past 4 years that I have been teaching at Enslow we (staff and students) have been making efforts to improve the school's outside "curb" appeal. We have planted many flower bulbs, trees, and shrubs. This year the red tulips were so incredibly lovely. However, two days ago, someone picked every single blooming tulip! I found these four tulips, already picked, lying lonely on the ground. So, I decided to try to forever capture their blooming life. However, as it is, a school day is only so long, so the entire blooming process was not captured. Of course when I came to school this morning, the tulips were open in their full form. C'est la vie! Enjoy.

Beautiful! I wish you would have been able to capture the whole thing but it is still amazing just with what you did get! Karen D :o)
